The French factory, located deep in the Basque country of France close to the Pyrenees mountains have been making their beautiful, hand lasted ballet shoes since 1950 and this factory have a unique relationship with the founder of French Sole, Jane Winkworth.

French Sole also employ a factory in Spain, now enjoying the third generation of a family owned business who make only and entirely for French Sole and for Jane Winkworth's unique designs and for the bespoke footwear that French Sole are famous for.

If you are buying for a single boutique, a department store or for a chain of stores or are a distributor - French Sole guarantee shoes that are hand made to perfection, using age old traditional methods of shoe manufacture by third generation craftsmen shoe makers. Our shoes are made from the finest Italian and Spanish leathers and are aged and tanned to perfection.
